  • Dr. SURESH VENKATARAM, CEO


    An alumnus of Government College of Pharmacy, Bangalore. He obtained B. Pharm degree with University Gold Medal in 1978. He then obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.

    Dr. Venkataram has wide experience spanning over 38 years in pharmaceutical academia and industry in Research and Development, Manufacturing, Technology Transfer, and has experience working in USA, Canada, and India across many companies. Worked in Patheon, one of the largest contract development and manufacturing companies in Canada and was instrumental in establishing Pharmaceutical Development Services for New Drug Development by heading the Formulation Research and Development group. Subsequently, he held the position of Vice President - Research and Development and Pharma Operations of Zydus Cadila in Bangalore. Following this in the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Strides Arcolab, Bangalore, established a large R&D group integrating with manufacturing plants for injectables, oral solids, soft gelatin capsules etc. Moving on as the COO of Star Drugs and Research Labs in Bangalore was instrumental in setting up R&D followed by building a USFDA approved injectable manufacturing plant. He held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Semler Research Center. He has exposure to Clinical Trial Material Manufacture from Phase I through Phase III studies.

    Has worked on many NDA, ANDA, 505 (b) (2) molecules through out his career. He has wide experience in Pre-formulation including characterization of drug substances by XRD and DSC techniques, Formulation Development (oral solids, injectables, lyophilized injections, ophthalics, semi-solids for many NCEs or ANDAs) Analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, Dissolution methodology etc. He has experience working in Canadian HPB and USFDA - GMP and GLP compliant environments. Has many scientific publications, patents to his credit, is a key opinion leader in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • NIRUPAMA, Director – R & D


    Postgraduate in Bio-chemistry with 20 years of professional work experience in pharma industry – has vast experience in areas of Analytical Development and Validation, QC/QA exposure, Regulatory affairs Formulation Development, Project Management, Technology transfer.

    Well versed in QbD ICH concepts, Pre-formulation studies, Stability studies, Technology Transfer, De-formulation (Reverse Engineering) studies, Trouble shooting - Formulation related, Analytical methods related.

    Has thorough knowledge in HPLC, ICP-OES, IVRT, DISSOLUTION, LC-MS and other analytical techniques. Over the years, has been involved in development of solid dosage forms, liquid dosage forms, ophthalmic dosage forms and topical dosage forms. Also has vast experience in ONCOLOGY products development. Successfully developed and transferred various new products for US and European Generic market.
